Sluice Rodeo

After many weekends spent in the surf we swopped our surf boats for play boats and headed to the Sluice Rodeo last weekend. Levels were good with nice bright sunshine for the day. There was a great turn out and super to see so many people out enjoying the water. The event showed how much fun freestyle can be as heats took the form of 15 minutes instead of the usual double 45 second turns. The longer heat gave each competitor tons of goes in the feature. This ensured that everybody got a chance and heats usually started with the smaller moves with people then trying for the bigger moves! This was a good crowd pleaser and great to see everybody pushing themselves.
